Job Overview
Location: 1674 Tarn Road, Mississauga, ON, L4X 1B1
Salary: $44.32 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Terms: Permanent, Full-time
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, or other masonry units.
- Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing.
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
- Read sketches and blueprints.
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
Requirements
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in the field.
Languages: English.
Personal Suitability: Accurate, reliable, and a strong team player.
Conditions: Must be bondable. The role is physically demanding, involving heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, or kneeling.
Equipment: You must provide your own safety equipment/gear, including steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and gloves.
Eligibility
Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a temporary resident with a valid work permit. Please do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
